Rock Delivery

Today we had a big truck drive through the muddy vale up to our house. On the back of the truck were six guys, some shovels, and a gigantic mound of rocks and dirt.

Time out. I’m sure you’re imagining something like this:

Wrong. That’s what we would use in America. Looked a LOT more like this:

The guys threw the large rocks underneath the corn shack, and then, using hand-carved shovels, dumped the dirt into a large pile. Then they came in and ate. We drank wine from a plastic jug.

I have much to learn about village life.
